The last few hundred meters of the way you have to go on foot

If you use a navigation system, please enter Bir­ken­weg 20 or Geras­müh­ler Straße 33, because the last part of the road is closed to traffic.

If you come on the B14 from Nuremberg, then you have the following options:

After you have crossed the river Rednitz at the Faber-Castell-Factory in Stein, turn left into the second crossroad (Gerasmühler Straße). After about 100 meters, you can park your car in a parking area. Then you walk the last few 100 meters of the path The path is signposted.

Guests with a handicap guests can park their cars in Heu­weg or Bir­ken­weg. But there is room for only a few cars. In order to reach these parking spaces, please stay on the B14. After the church in Stein Mitte turn left into the Deutenbacher Straße and after 500 meters turn left again into Heuweg. At the crossroads of Heu­wege and Bir­ken­weg there is a signpost to the Frei­land-Aquarium und -Terrarium. Unfortunately the signpost is a bit hidden. From here the road is only available for residents and delivery traffic. Please park your car here and walk the last few meters.

Transport facilities:

Go to the stop Nürnberger-Röthenbach, for example by subway line 2. Then take bus 63 or 64 to the stop Stein Kirche. From there, the shortest way to get to us is via Luitpoltstraße and then Gerasmühler Straße. Now please walk the last few 100 meters on foot. The path is signposted .

Footpath for hikers:

Hikers from the Faberpark or the Rednitzgrund can reach us via the Neu­wer­ker Steg along the river Rednitz. Coming from Eibach or Reichelsdorf, take the Geras­mühler Straße and follow the signs.
